Female Disability Support Worker – Orchard Hills

We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Female Disability Support Worker to join our team and provide person-centred support to an NDIS participant in Orchard Hills, NSW.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

1. Provide person-centred support to an NDIS participant with complex support needs.
2. Assist with personal care, community access, and daily living activities.
3. Support the participant to achieve their goals and maintain independence.
4. Provide support in a calm, patient, and professional manner, particularly when working with complex behaviours or support requirements.
5. Build positive, respectful, and trusting relationships with the participant.
6. Follow individual support plans, behaviour support strategies, and relevant care instructions.
7. Maintain accurate shift notes, progress notes, and incident reports.
8. Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, managers, and other members of the participant’s support team.
9. Follow all relevant NDIS policies, procedures, safeguarding requirements, and workplace health and safety standards.

Preferred Experience

1. Previous experience in Disability Support, Aged Care, or Community Care.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Experience supporting participants with personal care and daily living activities is highly regarded.

Mandatory Requirements

1. NDIS Worker Screening Check.
2. Working With Children Check (WWCC).
3. National Police Check.
4. Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
5. Valid Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle.
6. Full working rights in Australia.
7. NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – Quality, Safety and You.
