A Registered Nurse with a Diploma in Business Management, Shak has been part of Embrace since January 2021 and has played a key role in the organisation’s growth and the continuous improvement of the quality of services provided to participants.

Prior to joining Embrace, Shak worked as a Registered Nurse across both community and hospital settings for five years, developing valuable clinical experience and a strong understanding of person-centred care and the needs of individuals receiving support.

Alongside his healthcare career, Shak has also established and managed businesses across a range of industries. His experience in business development, operations, leadership and strategic management has contributed to his ability to support the continued growth and development of Embrace.

Shak is passionate about creating a culture focused on quality, accountability, compassion and continuous improvement. He works closely with participants, families, staff and stakeholders to ensure their experiences and needs remain at the heart of the services Embrace provides.

Meet our Disability Service Director, who holds a Bachelor of Nursing and a Master of Nursing in Clinical Leadership and Management. With over ten years of experience at NSW Health, he has specialised in community and palliative care and worked extensively in the Intensive Care Unit. Known for his strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and exceptional communication skills, Mohammad excels in building trustful professional relationships and is highly regarded for his creativity and problem-solving abilities.

Passionate about continuous growth, Mohammad constantly seeks opportunities to expand his skills and make a positive impact through his work and community involvement. In his free time, Mohammad enjoys swimming, kitesurfing, traveling, helping people, and making new friends. Please meet our Compliance Director Sujata K Bhattachan.

Sujata is one of the co-founder and Director at Embrace Community Care, bringing forth a wealth of knowledge and expertise derived from her extensive background in New South Wales Health. Sujata holds a scholarship Master’s degree in Health Service Management from the University of Tasmania. Sujata has held managerial positions, overseeing a team of clinicians in a community setting. During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as a manager at RPA Virtual Hospital, where she played a pivotal role in mobilising the RPA Virtual Hospital.

Sujata is dedicated to ensuring the organisational compliance meets the highest standard as per NDIS standards and head of Specialised Substitute Residential Care (SSRC), formerly known as Voluntary Out of Home Care (VOHOOC). Her commitment to excellence is evident in her continuous efforts to elevate the standard of care provided by Embrace Community Care.

Seema possesses Research based master’s degree in applied Bioscience through prestigious Government Scholarship and has also completed Diploma in Business Management. Her academic background reflects a combination of scientific knowledge and business skills.

In 2020, Seema became one of the founders and Directors of Embrace Community Care, where she has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of organisation. Her contributions have been instrumental in steering Embrace towards becoming a thriving entity.

In her everyday role at Embrace, Seema is dedicated to ensuring that the organisation delivers optimal services as promised to its participants. Her commitment to maintaining high standards aligns with the organisation’s goals, and she actively works towards the betterment of services provided by Embrace Community Care.

I joined the disability sector almost a decade ago due to my global humanitarian and volunteering experience inspired my passion to serve humanity. I have worked in the academic sector overseas prior joining the community sector. My most recent experience is with Royal Rehab and Forsight Australia where I worked in their various SIL service operations. I have adept skills in leading SIL teams, supporting senior operations leadership and the Executive leadership to achieve organisational success. I am currently the Operations Manager at Embrace community care and I am passionate to contribute my quota to ECC’s growth and success.

I hold a Diploma in Disability and have worked in the disability sector since 2011. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for supporting people to live meaningful, independent, and empowered lives.

I bring extensive experience across a range of roles including Support Worker, Intake Officer, Support Coordinator, and Management positions. This diverse background has given me a comprehensive understanding of the sector and a participant-focused approach in everything I do.

In my current role as Participant Engagement Manager at Embrace Community Care, I support the onboarding of new participants, respond to enquiries, and provide Support Coordination services. My focus is to ensure participants feel informed, supported, and confident from the very beginning of their journey.

Robina joined Embrace in 2020 as an Assistant Accountant, bringing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from overseas and over 10 years of experience across various sectors. Passionate about contributing to societal change, Robina chose to work with Embrace, a company dedicated to supporting people with disabilities. She holds a Certificate III in Disability and is currently pursuing a Diploma of Community Services. With expertise in payroll, accounts payable/receivable, service claims, and managing accounting operations, Robina also oversees team development and assists with HR management and company compliance Team.

Amrita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability). With a solid background in administration across diverse corporate sectors, she brings strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a client-centric approach to every role she undertakes.

In recent years, Amrita has focused on developing her career in Human Resources. She joined Embrace Community Care in 2025 as an HR Administrator, where she plays a key role in supporting both HR and administrative functions. Her responsibilities include recruitment assistance, onboarding, compliance management, staff coordination, and overseeing day-to-day office operations.

Amrita is deeply passionate about supporting team members and contributing to a positive workplace culture—values that closely align with Embrace’s mission of delivering high-quality care and empowering communities.

Frishta, our System Operations Manager at Embrace brings a robust background as an Enrolled Nurse. Having previously served as a House Manager at Embrace, Frishta actively championed holistic client care. In her current role, she plays a key role in Embrace’s System Operations, emphasising efficiency and excellence. Additionally, Frishta’s commitment extends to training support staff in meticulous documentation and medication chart management, showcasing her dedication to maintaining high standards in client care and safety.

With a unique blend of clinical expertise and managerial finesse, Frishta is an invaluable asset to our team. Her multifaceted experience underscores her commitment to Embrace’s mission of providing exceptional and compassionate disability support.

Zahir Abbasi joined Embrace Community Care in 2024 as a Marketing & IT Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience in web development, digital marketing, and IT support. With a strong foundation in web technologies and a creative approach to digital strategy, Zahir plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the organisation’s online presence.

He is responsible for the development and maintenance of Embrace’s website, ensuring a secure, user-friendly, and accessible digital experience. Zahir leads initiatives in SEO, content marketing, and social media management to drive engagement and connect with the broader community. In addition to his marketing expertise, he supports basic networking and troubleshooting needs, helping maintain smooth and secure digital operations.

Ruma holds a bachelor’s degree in business accounting and a diploma in community services. With over 10 years of experience in finance, she transitioned to the role of House Manager at Embrace Community Care in 2022. Her diverse background makes her an asset to our team.

With a passion for helping others, the decision to join this line of work was as second nature to me as it is breathing. From a young age, I gravitated towards others with a quest to bring them joy and/or peace. In my latter years, this translated into community work where I could utilise my natural interpersonal skills to support, guide & impact many lives seeking for a quality life. I enjoy adventures such as hikes, social sports (oztag, volley) and any other activity that brings a community together. Believing in a higher power has kept me grounded as well as supplied me with unlimited hope. A hope that continues to fuel my driven offering help to anyone, courageous enough to accept it for themselves.
