Embrace Community Care is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of all children. We believe that all children have the right to feel and be safe, respected, and valued. We have zero tolerance for child abuse and are committed to the protection of children from all forms of harm.
We actively work to create an environment that is caring, nurturing, and inclusive, where children feel secure and confident to speak up. We listen to children and take their concerns seriously. Our policies, procedures, and practices are aligned with child safety principles and relevant legislation.
We are dedicated to promoting cultural safety, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. We also strive to provide a safe environment for children with a disability and children from LGBTQIA+ communities.
All staff, volunteers, and partners are expected to uphold our child safety values and comply with our Child Safe Code of Conduct. We ensure all personnel are trained and supported to understand their roles and responsibilities in relation to child safety.
Child safety is everyone’s responsibility at Embrace Community Care, and we are committed to continuous improvement to ensure a child-safe culture is embedded in everything we do.
