Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our services and establish strategic partnerships within the disability services sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success and sustainability of our organization, while making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, strategic thinker with a strong understanding of business development, relationship-building, and the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients, partners, and stakeholders. Identify areas for growth, both in terms of service offerings and geographical reach.
- Build Relationships: Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders, community organizations, and government agencies to drive business expansion and advocacy.
- Develop Partnerships: Collaborate with other organizations and service providers to create opportunities for joint ventures, service collaborations, and referral partnerships.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry changes to ensure our services remain competitive and responsive to client needs.
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales and revenue targets by working closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet the needs of clients while adhering to business goals.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement business development strategies aligned with our mission, values, and long-term goals.
- Brand Advocacy: Represent Embrace at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise awareness and promote the organization’s values.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the disability support, or NDIS sectors.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS framework and how it impacts service delivery and client needs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong commercial acumen.
- Experience in proposal writing, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for social impact and a commitment to improving the lives of people with disabilities.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, health, social work, or related fields (preferred).
